Today’s organizations understand that the traditional outdated “command and control” style of management is no longer effective. Instead, Coaching has been identified as a critical leadership and management competency today and in the future of work.

Coaching is also a standard of communication in the workplace versus a tool for rehabilitation or remedial skills training, and it provides a win-win situation for the organization, the manager-as coach and their direct reports. Therefore, it is important to provide manger-leaders with essential skills needed to conduct coaching conversations that help performers grow.

Elaine has worked for over 30 years with diverse teams from SMEs and MNCs, in emerging and mature industries in Asia-Pacific markets. Throughout her corporate stints, she specialized in sales, business development, regional general management, among others.

In 2008, Elaine embarked on a second career in training, consulting and coaching. Driven by her mission “Discover, Develop, Maximize the POWER within You,” she founded POWERinU Training and Coaching LLP, a consultancy registered in Singapore, where she’s been based since 2000.

Elaine who’s a practicing Executive and Corporate Coach, received her coach certifications as CEG (Core Essentials Graduate) and as Coaching Clinic Licensed Facilitator from the US-based, ICF-accredited Corporate Coach U. Elaine is also nationally certified in Singapore in training design, delivery & assessment by Singapore WDA/IAL; and in management & HR consulting by the Singapore Business Advisors & Consultants Council.

Elaine has also served as leadership program facilitator-trainer for The World Bank Group, and as senior Learning & Organizational Development leader in NCS Pte Ltd (with 8k workforce in Singapore) and IDC Asia Pacific (with 100+ sales and leaders in regional HQ). Currently, she manages leadership programs for Duke Corporate Education (APAC & UK). Elaine actively serves as a director, senior consultant and executive coach of POWERinU in the Philippines and Singapore.
