Procurement and Supply Institute of Asia (PASIA) held it’s annual PASIA HR & Supply Chain Management Summit this year (September 1, 2021) entitled “Bringing together HR and SCM Leaders and Professionals in responding with the New Normal”.
In this summit, HR and Supply chain professionals largely shared the opinion that many of the prevailing problems in business, and in our country today, are in Supply Chain, Procurement and Logistics arena. Especially on Ethics- Excellence- eEnablement. The summit opined that this will continue to be so. Rigorous capacity development is needed more than ever. Companies & nations should fortify their supply chains. Adapt or perish.
Speakers were Mr. Charlie Villasenor (Chairman & CEO of PASIA), Ms. LA Cruz (Global People Director, Arcadis), Ms. Amielle Ann Receno (People Operations Manager of Lalamove), Mr. Aljor Perreras (President, Primordium) and Ms. Donna Grande (SVP HR, QBE Insurance).
There were numerous discussions on on how HR can help the supply chain discipline, and how important supply chain management is in every organization and in the country.
Hosted by Mr. Walter Buczynski, Senior Trainer of PASIA and Ms. Penny Bongato, Success Coach & Director of POWERinU Training and Coaching Philippines, this 3-hour summit helped raise the awareness and importance of the partnership between HR and supply chain management.
