POWERinU and Ylopo Partner for Webinar on Turning Workplace Conflict into Collaboration

Strong teams are not defined by the absence of conflict, but by how well they manage it. This was the central message of the recent webinar “From Tension to Teamwork: Resolving Conflicts Together,” a complimentary learning session organized by Ylopo LLC in collaboration with POWERinU Training & Coaching Philippines.

The session brought together professionals eager to strengthen their ability to navigate workplace tensions and transform disagreements into opportunities for collaboration and growth.

The webinar featured Elaine Cercado, Executive Coach, Senior Consultant, and Leadership Trainer-Facilitator, who also serves as Director and Co-Founder of POWERinU Training and Coaching Philippines and Singapore. Drawing from her extensive experience working with leaders and teams across organizations, Elaine shared practical insights on how emotional awareness and communication skills can help teams move from conflict to constructive teamwork.

During the session, participants explored the important connection between emotions and conflict, and how better emotional management can prevent misunderstandings from escalating. Elaine also introduced three foundational premises for managing and resolving conflict, helping participants reframe disagreements as natural—and often necessary—elements of productive teamwork.

The webinar further guided participants in identifying common sources of workplace conflict—from miscommunication and differing expectations to pressure and change—and provided practical strategies for addressing these challenges. Through simple but powerful frameworks, attendees learned approaches for managing various types of conflict while maintaining respect, trust, and collaboration within teams.

By the end of the session, participants gained a deeper understanding of workplace conflict and practical tools they can immediately apply to improve communication and teamwork in their organizations.
