As the great intergenerational wealth transfer occurs in the US, Europe and other 1st world countries, we will be encountering soon enough the impact of this historical event in most aspects of our society, economy and business affairs.

ALFREDO DEL ROSARIO JR.

Former Director, President and CEO of Philippine Realty and Holdings Corporation

Mr. Alfredo S. del Rosario, Jr.’s latest position was Director, President and CEO of Philippine Realty and Holdings Corporation, one of the country’s public listed real estate companies. During his almost 7-year management of the company, he shepherded the company’s operations and oversaw the growth of its assets by 278% over 7 years or a compound annual growth rate of 16.3% per annum.

Prior to PhilRealty, Mr. del Rosario was the Executive VP, Head of the Asset Management and Remedial Group of the Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation. During his 7-year management of this group, he had overseen the resolution and disposition of close to P7 Billion of non-performing assets (NPA) of the bank, which brought down the Bank’s NPA level to its lowest. He was originally hired by the bank in 2006 as EVP and Head of the Commercial Banking Group and was subsequently assigned as EVP and Head of the Overseas Filipino Banking Group. He was also a director of two other subsidiaries: Niog Property Holdings, Inc. and RCBC-JPL Holdings, where he also served as Chairman and President.  He still presently serves as director of one of the Bank’s subsidiaries namely, Rizal MicroBank. 

Fred started his professional career in the human resources field where he gained his expertise in management, training, labor relations and negotiations. His initial foray into the field was as a management trainee of the Ayala Corporation. He then moved on to Bank of America, NT&SA to serve as its Asia Division Senior Training Officer up to the time he was subsequently appointed as Vice President and Country Head of Human Resources. His HR experience culminated during his term as Senior Vice President and Head of Human Resources and Administration for AsianBank Corporation from 1991 to 1994. 

He then went on to the next levels of his corporate career as he crossed over from staff to line work and from one functional area to another. He was the SVP and Head of the Branch Banking Division of AsianBank in 1994-1999, SVP and Head of HR, Information Technology and Trust and Investment Division of AB Capital and Investment Corporation from 2000 to 2006.

He had also been appointed as a director to Araullo University, a Phinma company.

He obtained his degree in Bachelor of Science in Management from the Ateneo de Manila University. He has taken up units towards an MBA degree at the Ateneo Graduate School. He also took up law subjects leading to a Juris Doctor degree for three years at the Ateneo Law School.
