The 8th Annual PASIA World Conference was held last November 14-15, 2019 at the Manila Ballroom of Marriott Hotel, Philippines. The theme of the conference was “Future Proofing for Business Sustainability and Competitiveness through Supply Chain, Procurement and Logistics”.
POWERinU Training and Coaching Philippines, Inc. and Wargitsch Transformation Engineers partnered together to sponsor this conference where hundreds of C-Level Officers, Key Decision-makers, senior-level supply chain, procurement and logistics management professionals representing billions in purchasing power to spread the best practices across the ASEAN region, were present.
During Day 1 of the conference, POWERinU President Benjie Garcia and Wargitsch Transformation Engineers CEO Dr. Christoph Wargitsch spoke during the plenary about “Lean, Agile and People Transformation in the Digital Ecosystem”, while a more focused discussion about the topic was done during Day 2 of the conference.
A panel discussion moderated by POWERinU Director Jun Marfori was also held on the topic “Future Proofed Sustainability and Competitiveness – Harnessing People and Technology”. The panelists were: Thomas Delroy, Manager for Regional Sourcing-Asia Pacific of Phillip Morris, Dr. Martin Schreiner, MBA, Senior Director for Global Purchasing & Supply Management of Vishay Semiconductors, Dr, Christoph Wargitsch, CEO of Wargitsch Transformation Engineers, Sherwin Nones, Head of Strategic Planning of Integrated Mirco-Electronics, Inc. and Carlo Joson, Assistance Vice President of a Leading QSR Company.
Aside from the various topics offered, raffle prizes were also drawn with numerous prizes from the sponsors given away. And to celebrate the end of the 2-day event, a cocktail night provided the perfect opportunity for everyone to network in a more relaxed and unstructured atmosphere.
