As in previous years, it was a privilege for POWERinU to have collaborated with PASIA in the event co-hosting of Day 1 of the 2-day conference “REMAKING THE SUPPLY CHAIN: Resilience, Innovation, Sustainability, Excellence” held at the Marriott Hotel in PASAY City. POWERinU also had an exhibit booth outside the conference hall, thanks to PASIA.
As was expected, PASIA’s energetic, passionate and visionary leader, Chairman and CEO, Charlie Villasenor, set the stage for the 2-day conference with a vision of the future, and with great optimism, despite the disruptive effects of constant turbulence brought about by the ever-changing socio-political climate globally, technology and in particular Artificial Intelligence, among others. Charlie shared the need to adopt and adapt, as opposed to denying the existence of these disruptions, and hence capitalizing on agility, innovation and resilience, and pursuing excellence in all aspects of individual and organizational mindsets and actions. Charlie emphasized the need for professionals in the Procurement, Supply Chain and Logistics function to rise up to the challenge of these evolving times and re-invent themselves, to be more strategic, to lead, in order to survive, and to succeed.
The conference featured esteemed speakers, and expert panel speaker resources, who spoke about relevant and emerging themes and current realities, that pervade daily life and business operations. The presentations effectively described solutions and processes, as well as practical help, to serve as enablers and tools to help organizations adapt and succeed. In the 3 panel discussions, the speakers and resources expressed expert opinions on the impact of US and global politics, Supply chain technology outlook and impact to human capital, and Sustainability as an agenda of both the private and government sectors. The conference was informative, dynamic, and engaging, and it was a privilege to have POWERinU once again invited to expertly navigate through the full-packed event.
