POWERinU was pleased to participate in the 2026 SETC Training Summit, held on September 3, 2026, with the theme “Empowering Trainers. Transforming Talent. Driving Industry.” Organized by the Semiconductor and Electronics Training Council (SETC) and Semiconductor and Electronics Industries in the Philippines, Foundation Inc. (SEIPI), the summit gathered professionals from Human Resources, Learning & Development, and Operations across the semiconductor and electronics industry.
A highlight of POWERinU’s participation was the presentation by POWERinU Director Thelma Meneses, entitled “The Talent Paradox: Why Great Technology Still Needs Great People.” The session explored the growing role of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies in today’s workplace, emphasizing that Artificial Intelligence is ultimately managed by Actual Intelligence. While AI is a powerful enabler, talent is what creates its value. As technology continues to evolve, organizations must also develop the transversal skills of their people—including critical thinking, adaptability, collaboration, communication, and leadership—to ensure they remain future-ready and capable of maximizing the benefits of innovation.
Throughout the day, many attendees stopped by the POWERinU booth to connect with the team, exchange ideas, learn more about our solutions, and receive complimentary tokens.
The summit also featured a collaborative Benchmarking Session, where participants discussed practical approaches to some of today’s most pressing learning and development challenges, including:

How to integrate AI into the learning and development process
How to make eLearning and self-directed learning more effective
Beyond the insightful presentations and industry updates, interactive activities throughout the day encouraged meaningful conversations, collaboration, networking, and the sharing of best practices among professionals across the industry.
